Supply Chain Expert Doug Zopfi Joins CIBER
SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Oct. 8, 2008 – CIBER, Inc. (NYSE: CBR) today announced that Doug Zopfi has joined CIBER as a Supply Chain Principal Consultant in the company’s Southfield, Michigan office. Mr. Zopfi brings years of experience to CIBER. Prior to joining CIBER, he spent 31 years in the Automotive Service and Parts organization at Chrysler’s Mopar Parts Division.
Until his retirement from Mopar, Zopfi held the position of Director – Mopar Global Supply Chain, responsible for managing all aspects of a $4 billion supply chain of suppliers, distribution centers and transportation providers that delivered service parts to over 5,000 dealers and distributors worldwide.
Zopfi brings with him extensive knowledge and firsthand experience in all aspects of a complex, global supply network including:
- Development of strategic supply chain plans that balance customer service improvements with cost management objectives.
- Implementation of a new Warehouse Management System across 31 warehouses in North America.
- Coordination of supply chain merger activities with Daimler and within Chrysler’s North American operations.
- Development and implementation of Lean Operating Principles in a unionized work environment that yielded significant productivity improvements
- Identification and implementation of a wide range of operating cost improvements through network redesign and streamlining of supply chain segments
Mr. Zopfi holds an Executive MBA from the Eli Broad School of Management at Michigan State University.
